About Rianna Nayee

Rianna is a passionate advocate for climate justice. An experienced communicator, she worked in campaigns and policy for five years at the United Nations Association-UK, building coalitions with policymakers, academics, and civil society around the world for a safer and more sustainable world.

Prior to joining Synchronicity Earth, she completed a master’s degree in international law at SOAS. Her research focused on how the law addresses climate displacement and digital borders.

During her studies she also carried out research for the Environmental Law Foundation on the rights of nature in the UK.

She holds a BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History from Wadham College, Oxford, where she also supported the university’s divestment initiatives as environment and ethics officer.

She is now using her expertise in international policy communications to be a voice for overlooked species and ecosystems.

Outside of work, she is part of the Minorities in Peace and Security mentorship scheme. You’ll often find her creating things – knitting, painting, and writing in her favourite natural spots.
