About Isha Tickoo
Isha’s career has been led by an interest in science engagement and education, following a background in ecological field research.
Her passion for youth and community-based conservation professionally began as a researcher at Wild Otters Research, a grassroots wildlife research, education, and outreach organisation based in Goa, where she led a field research team alongside managing and delivering the internship and education programmes.
On return to the UK, Isha swapped smooth-coated otters and mangroves for wildflowers and fungi at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, working on a flagship outreach initiative developing several training programmes, creative engagement activities, and events.
Isha has a BSc in Biosciences from the University of Birmingham and is an active member of the IUCN-SCC Otter Specialist Group. Outside the office, you’ll find her attempting to keep her balcony garden alive and flourishing, seeking hidden greenspaces, and sharing her love of nature journaling.
