Georgie graduated in Marine Biology & Coastal Ecology from Plymouth University, where she also gained her commercial SCUBA diving qualification. Her undergraduate researched focused on an unloved species of shark, the spurdog, which she later founded a citizen science project for (Spurwatch).
She has since worked as a seagrass diving project assistant, and researcher for the BBC Natural History Unit, where she worked closely with remote fishing communities in Asia and dive supervised underwater filming operations.
She is a freelance award-winning underwater photographer and science communicator with a deep-seated obsession for all things fish. She is a lover of the unloved, and hopes to be a voice for species that are typically overlooked.
