Synchronicity Earth is looking for someone who is passionate about wildlife conservation to take on our charity place in the Virgin Money London Marathon on October 3 2021.

Synchronicity Earth is an international wildlife conservation charity focused on addressing overlooked and underfunded conservation challenges for globally threatened species and ecosystems. This is primarily carried out through our six programmes: Amphibian, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Flourishing Diversity, Freshwater, and High & Deep Seas.

The London Marathon is an annual event taking place in the heart of the capital. The world-famous London Marathon route has remained largely unchanged since the inaugural race in 1981 and encompasses many of the capital’s most mesmerising landmarks, old and new, in its 26.2-mile journey from Blackheath to The Mall.

Every year the London Marathon inspires a colossal fundraising effort for the runners’ charities. Even in 2020, when the marathon was significantly altered due to COVID-19, participants raised £16.1m for charity, and in 2019 it was a a record-breaking £66.4m.

If you are interested in applying for our London Marathon charity place, please email hr [at] synchronicityearth.org with ‘London Marathon’ in the subject line and the answers to the below questions:

  • Why is conserving biodiversity important to you? (100 words max)
  • How would you plan to fundraise for the London Marathon?) (100 words max, please include any relevant experience)

Applications will close on June 2.
